What is the best Instagram post size?
Portrait 1080 × 1350 px (4:5) takes the most feed space. Square 1080 × 1080 px also works well.
What size is a Story or Reel?
1080 × 1920 px at 9:16. Leave roughly the top and bottom 250 px free of text because buttons and captions sit there.
Do I need to match sizes exactly?
Matching the ratio matters most. A larger image with the same ratio stays sharp and is resized by the platform.
